Kierstin, Kayla and Kami Kehoe, are 3 sisters that are a shock to anyone who sees them perform live! Their musicianship and talents are unbelievable at such young ages. These three sisters have dedicated their lives to music and are staying true to their dreams and it's finally paying off. It all started when they were 5, 6 and 7 years-old born in Kansas City moved to Florida then moved right here to Los Angeles, CA. The PinkFurs are here to stay and making a space for themselves in Today’s extremely difficult Music Industry. These girls have a very unique sound. Their music is in between Pop, Alternative and a little R&B, a “California Sound” they like to call it. They write all their own songs with lyrics about Love, Break-ups, Broken Dreams, Broken Hearts, Dropping Bad Habits and their songs are filled with true emotions, pain and realities to fantasies. You can see how all their songs have a special story that can relate to any age group that represents not just a huge part of L.A. lifestyles but lifestyles World-Wide.
Everyone wanted them to be this 80’s girl-rock come-back band, so they did what everyone wanted for several years. I mean they did sell out the Whisky-A-Go-Go at ages 10, 11, and 12 several times, even on a Saturday night! They also played the whole Hollywood circuit from the Whisky, Troubadour, House of Blues, Vacluse, The Mint, Lucky Strike, Pasadena Music Festival, even played at VidCon. But they just felt that the music they were playing wasn’t what they really wanted. So about two years ago they had to be true to themselves and let go of all their managers, producers and engineers. They loved working with them because they learned a lot, but they needed to find their own sound. After letting them go, they were able to focus on what they really wanted. These girls worked day and night to write and collaborate what they really wanted to sound like and represent in their music.
Their music is definitely more Pop now, with heavier bass lines and some electronic sounds but they have kept their element of talents and the love for their instruments with the hard-playing drums, bass, keyboards, guitars and three-part harmonies. So, they started pouring their hearts, thoughts and experiences of what they saw around each of their lives. Being inspired by their older siblings, friends, peers and even sayings people would write on the girls’ bathroom stalls.
At their young ages, growing up in this millennial age, they express and relate to everyone worldwide with their music. Their new sound started in 2018, when they dropped their first couple of Singles, then their EP. Soon after that, it led to a full 8 song album. They really focused in on their craft writing and playing their own music. Making their lyrics more catchy and filling their songs with emotions. Then, after they released their most recent album “Love Me,” they decided to play their first show after the 26-show run in 2016, 3 years later. They packed the house at “The Arena” and then booked the Headlining Act at the Troubadour and packed that show also, it was amazing! Their Social Media hit thousands of views and subscribers.
They expressed that it is the most amazing feeling staying true to themselves, regardless of all the influences around them and what others wanted them to be. They, “The PinkFurs” are sticking to what they love, and the response is already becoming overwhelming to them.
In fact, their 11-year-old nephew flew to L.A. from Kansas City for Spring Break and right next to him was a young boy watching the PinkFurs Vlogs one after the other during the whole plan ride. Then he was walking through LAX airport and someone passed by wearing a PinkFurs hoodie. When he got to their house he ran up to the girls and said, “Wow you guys are so famous!” He was telling us about all his friends back home also that play their music at his school and watch their Vlogs too.
Now their friends and peers are packing their shows, giving them shout outs and listening to their music. This is what they have always wanted and truly felt inside but finally had to make a stand for what they wanted and believed in.
In their minds, they are just getting started, and they can’t wait to show the world how much more they can do. These girls are an inspiration to make a stand for your dreams and let nothing stop you from reaching them. Stay tuned and just watch these 3 sisters, The “PinkFurs” are on their way to becoming the next big thing.
